De SX-500 serial server maakt het mogelijk om Seriele apparatuur te delen in een ethernet netwerk. Het is de meest eenvoudige manier om een RS-232 device via het netwerk toegankelijk te maken en/of te delen. De meegeleverd Serial Port emulatie software is geschikt voor PC applicaties.
